Sons of Iraq (Abna al-Iraq) workers stand in line waiting for their pay at Joint Security Station Saab al Bour, northwest of Baghdad, Dec. 22. The sharp decline in crime in the Saab al Bour area is attributed to the implementation of the SoI program, which started in September 2007. Up until September, coalition forces conducted the payday operations. The government of Iraq assumed control of funding for the Iraqi security forces in October 2008 and have just completed their second SoI payday with the assistance of Troop B "Bountyhunter," 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad
