Oliver North, a retired Marine Corps colonel, meets with and signs a copy of his new book for Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer John Trude at the Pacific Views Marine Corps Exchange here June 7. Pendleton is among the first stops for North as part of his book promotion tour where he will travel across the country making more than 40 stops. North said it was an easy decision to make Pendleton an early stop because "it is all about the Marines." North is a best-selling author and host of the TV show War Stories. Trude is an operations specialist on the Cutter forward in Virginia.
