Gen. David H. Petraeus, commanding general, U.S. Central Command, cites the U.S. Armed Forces Oath of Enlistment during a re-enlistment ceremony at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, near Tikrit, Iraq, during a Christmas day visit Dec. 25 in which many Soldiers furthered their commitment to the U.S. Army. Petraeus, the top U.S. general officer in Iraq, commended the Soldiers for their devotion to serve during wartime, personally shaking hands with each of the re-enlisting Soldiers.
