Firefighters from the Antigua and Barbuda Fire Services rescue Andy Daniel, a student at Palm Primary School, during a school collapse scenario outside of Camp Crabbs June 5. The exercise tested the response capabilities of local emergency services and Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force members in search and rescue, medical triage, and treatment tactics and procedures as part of Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
