More than 100 Soldiers from the 130th Engineer Brigade’s headquarters reunited with their families at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, June 4, 2014 after serving nine months as the Theater Engineer Brigade for Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit first deployed to Bagram Airfield in September 2013 and then moved to Kabul to support the International Security Assistance Forces by providing theater engineer capabilities to include the development of the Afghan National Army Engineer Force, ISAF construction projects, base realignment and closure operations, and route clearance missions.
