David Marshall of Baldwin, N.Y., served with the U.S. Army’s 84th Infantry Division during World War II. Marshall, a mortar man for Company M, 3rd Battalion, 334th Infantry Regiment, fought in the Battle of the Bulge. The 84th Training Command (Unit Readiness), Fort Knox, Ky., traces it lineage back to the 84th Infantry Division.
