Maralyn I. O’Brien, left, Capt. Bruce H. Byrd, center, and Colt R. After creating a list of natural emergencies, O’Brien, Byrd and Teuscher had to think of items they would need in a disaster kit for each emergency. O’Brien is a Canton, Mich., native and a family readiness officer for Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Byrd is a Camden, N.J., native and logistics officer with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 1, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III MEF.
