As part of his tour at Forward Operation Site Iguana, the commander of Task Force Larimar, Lt. Col. Christopher Dziubek, shows to the ambassador to the Dominican Republic, James “Wally” Brewster, some of the materials being used by the engineers at some of the construction sites during the humanitarian assistance training exercise Beyond the Horizon in Barahona May 27. The tour began by showing him the facilities throughout the FOS and ended at the Medical Readiness Training Exercise site in the Paraiso municipality. TF Larimar is currently conducting engineering work at five different sites. Three of the sites will be medical clinics and the other two will be used as school partitions in the province of Barahona. This will provide local residents better opportunities to receive medical attention as well as education. Additionally, free medical services including geriatrics, gynecologists, dentists, dermatologists, ophthalmologists, pediatricians and pharmacists will be available throughout different sectors of Barahona as part of the BTH exercise. This exercise is a joint humanitarian training sponsored by U.S. Southern Command and U.S. Army South. (National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Angel D.
