Sgt. Matthew Burkett, a Lancaster, Pa., native and a plumbing supervisor for the 358th Engineer Company attached to Task Force Larimar, discusses with Sgt. Maj. Darell Sears, a Frametown, W.Va., native and the construction inspector for Task Force Larimar, the best way to position the septic tank at the construction site in the municipality of Villa Central during the humanitarian assistance training exercise Beyond the Horizon at Barahona, Dominican Republic, May 25. TF Larimar is currently conducting engineering work at five different sites. Three of the sites will be medical clinics and the other two will be used as school partitions in the province of Barahona. This will provide local residents better opportunities to receive medical attention as well as education. Additionally, free medical services including geriatrics, gynecologists, dentists, dermatologists, ophthalmologists, pediatricians and pharmacists will be available throughout different sectors of Barahona as part of the BTH exercise. This exercise is a joint humanitarian training sponsored by U.S. Southern Command and U.S. Army South. (National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Angel D.
