A mock insurgent hides and waits as Iraqi Soldiers in an M-113 armored personnel carrier approaches. The 4th mechanized infantry battalion from 36th Brigade, 9th Iraqi Armored Division completed the first Warfighter training here. Warfighter is a program that brings an existing battalion into training from the battlespace and focuses on unit tactics and maneuver. The final exercise involved a cordon and search where Soldiers from the headquarters company, playing the opposition force, hid in a village while the three maneuver companies surrounded the village and captured them.
