    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    1st Lt. John B. Tatum, a field artillery officer with Battery K, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, communicates with fire direction control at Forward Observer Tower 2 here Nov. 26 before an artillery fire mission. The firing took place during regularly scheduled artillery relocation training. Similar training events take place several times per year in different training areas in Japan.
