A CH-47 Chinook helicopter delivers a load of lumber to Great Gull Island, a 17-acre island in the Long Island Sound. The lumber was one of three deliveries made by Detachment 1, Company B, 2/104th Aviation from Groton to the island on April 25. More than 40 thousand pounds of lumber and supplies were airlifted to the island as part of an inter-agency environmental program with the American Museum of Natural History and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
