An F4U Corsair flies past the crowd at the 2014 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show May 17, before takeoff during the Legacy Flight portion of the show. During the flight, the aircraft performed flight patterns while other Marine Corps aircraft including an AV-8B Harrier, an F/A-18 Hornet and an F-35B Lightning II flew in formation and demonstrated their capabilities. This year's air show, "Inspiration to Innovation," boasts various acts and aircraft ranging from the Black Daggers Parachute Team to the Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car.
