Spartan Soldiers with the 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) subdue a simulated insurgent using tactical combatives techniques under the supervision of their instructor, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Joshua Kaplan of Bandit Troop, 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment also with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, as they undergo the practical portion of their final exam to earn their level two certification in the U.S. Army's combatives program. Combatives combines the most effective areas of different martial arts which provides Soldiers with an effctive array of hand-to-hand combat techniques. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
