Siblings Pfc. Marlene Banuelos and Staff Sgt. Normando Gallardo, both of whom are natives of El Paso, Texas, raise their right hands as each swears to serve for another six years in the U.S Army. Banuelos serves with Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, and Gallardo serves with Company A, 40th Electronic Signal Brigade, in Balad. Administering the oath is Col. Pat White, a native of Apple Valley, Calif., who is the commander of the 2nd BCT, 1st Armd. Div.
