U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) transfer gutted vehicles that will be used as targets during a U.S.-French bilateral exercise to French soldiers with the 5th Combined Arms Regiment Overseas. The exercise is designed to improve interoperability between nations, increase readiness and develop professional relationships. The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
