During a period of inclement weather in San Diego, Chollas Creek, a creek that runs through Naval Base San Diego (NBSD), became saturated with debris. NBSD's Public Works crane and rigging crew cleaned out the creek preventing any trash from leaking into the San Diego Bay. The rigging crews collected over 40 tons of trash and debris in a four day period. (U.S. Navy photo by Robert Ripley Jr., Naval Base San Diego planner/Released)
