Shawn Farrell’s display in preparation for service members to pay their respects during the memorial service held for Farrell May 5, 2014, at Camp Montrond, Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Farrell was killed in action April 28, 2014, when enemy forces attacked his unit with small-arms fire while on a mission in the Nerjab district of Kapisa province, Afghanistan.
