Capt. Nate Williams (right), along with Maj. Hussein and Sheik Mahmoud, travel in a Multi-National Division – Baghdad armored vehicle and discuss issues affecting the Hurriyah neighborhood of Baghdad, Nov. 16. Following their visit to the area, Sheik Mahmoud said the visit was enlightening in that it gave him a better perspective of security to the area. He said prior to his visit, he did not think that the area was as secure as it is, nor did he believe that the mosques were being taken care of by the Iraqi security forces as well as they are. Williams serves as the commander of Company A, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, MND-B.
