The littoral combat ship USS Freedom departs from Montreal to sail up the Saint Lawrence River to her next port visit stop in Quebec City, Quebec. Freedom is the first of two littoral combat ships designed to operate in shallow water environments to counter threats in coastal regions and is currently en route to Norfolk, Va.
