A group of military personnel in desert camouflage uniforms are assembled on a gravel landing zone with gear and duffel bags, apparently preparing to board or having disembarked from a V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft visible in the background. The setting appears to be an arid, desert environment consistent with Middle Eastern or Central Asian operational theaters. Personnel are equipped with body armor, helmets, and tactical gear.

    I Marine Expeditionary Force

Marines from I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group (Forward) board an MV-22 Osprey with their personal gear as part of the relocation of Marine forces in Iraq after the turnover of the base to the government of Iraq. Some Marines will remain on the base as part of the base's transition to the Iraqi military, but the command element has relocated to Al Asad Air Base.
