Fresno, Calif., native Capt. Philip Durando, commander, Company C, 589th Brigade Support Battalion, 41st Fires Brigade, poses while racing in the Forward Operating Base Delta Veterans Day Bike Race Nov. 11 at the FOB softball field. The idea for the race was inspired by the Little Indy race in Bloomington, Ind., said Col. Italo Bastianelli, West Point, N.Y., brigade surgeon. He added he thought it would promote team spirit.
