A defective C-5M Super Galaxy main landing gear wheel and tire assembly prior to being taken away for maintenance April 22, 2014, at Dover Air Force Base, Del. The 4A1 tire was required to be changed due to tread wear exceeding limits specified in the technical order. Crew chiefs use chalk to identify possible tread wear that is out of limits.
