Commander, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 1, Capt. J. Curtis Scaub, passes through sideboys prior to departing the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45). Capt. Schaub was aboard Comstock to tour the ship and meet with the crew. Comstock, as part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, and elements of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit are underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation during a Western Pacific deployment.
