Philippine Navy Capt. Renato Yongque, left, speaks with U.S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sgt. Lewis Martin April 21 before a press conference in Legazpi City, Albay Province, Philippines. The conference was held to discuss humanitarian civic assistance projects planned in the area as a part of Exercise Balikatan, an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States armed forces that strengthens the bond and improves interoperability between the two countries. Yongque is deputy commander for naval forces South Luzon, Philippine Navy, and Martin is the senior enlisted advisor for the U.S. forces in Legazpi.
