Rick Meers, a native of Davenport, Neb., commanding officer Company B, 3rd Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, shakes hands with Tom Jones,a native of Waltham, Mass. a seven time Thai boxing champion and former U.S. Marine, at Forward Operating Base War Eagle in Baghdad, Iraq, Oct. 31, 2008. Jones is part of the Mixed Martial Arts Tour, a USO morale event, that visited the troops at FOB War Eagle on Halloween. The troops had a chance to ask questions of the athletes, pose for pictures with them and receive autographs. The athletes gave the Soldiers a standing ovation and thanked them for their service and sacrifice.
