F/A-18 Hornets with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 312 fly over the squadron's home station, Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, as they return from a nine-month deployment, April 17. The Checkerboards deployed aboard the USS Harry S. Truman in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, maritime security operations and security cooperation efforts with various countries throughout the Middle East. VMFA-312's last mission also marked the last Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet support of OEF.
