An Iraqi police training officer at the al Furat Iraqi police training center call out names of Sons of Iraq during initial in processing of new Iraqi police recruits, Oct. 29, 2008. Over 600 SoI are in the process of beginning a 4-week basic recruit police training. Upon graduation from the police course, the newly integrated SoIs will be Shurtas or Iraqi policeman. Over 1300 SoIs are expected to be entered into the class upon completion of registration for this course.
