Straight from his private quarters, 1538th Transportation Company commander Capt. Phillip C. Anderson rejoices via webcam after the birth of his second child, a daughter. Makayla Jolee Anderson was born on Sept. 26, 2008, at 2:05 p.m. EDT, back home in Indiana. The healthy baby girl weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and 20 inches in length. "One of the most memorable moments of my life," said Anderson. "Having a daughter is something my wife and I've wanted and planned for, but I wish it didn't happen while I was deployed." Wife Michelle is pictured in the inset at lower left.
