An Iraqi member of 5th Provincial Security Forces punches a sandbag during a fitness course, Outpost Delta, Karmah, Iraq, Oct. 12, 2008. Marines with Charlie Company, Task Force 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 1, conducted training with local members of 5th PSF to further advance their capabilities as a growing military force. The PSF are effectively combating any remaining insurgency threat in Karmah by conducting raids, weapons caches, and detaining suspected insurgents. Karmah's influential location makes it an ideal location sought by insurgents, as it connects Baghdad to the al-Anbar province.
