Staff Sgt. Erin Ward, 407th Expeditionary Medical Squadron, applies fake blood to an Airman to play a wounded victim, Oct. 15, 2008. An indirect fire exercise was held here to test the response of nonmilitary and military members. It also tested skills like self aid buddy care and procedures for identifying unexploded ordinances. Ward is deployed from U. S. Air Force academy's 10th Medical Group in Colorado Springs, Colo.
