Air Force Staff Sgt. Richard Monsalve, a civil engineer embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge, sets a cinder block onto mortar while building a wall at Soccoro Sanchez Primary School during the humanitarian/civic assistance mission Continuing Promise 2008. Kearsarge is the primary platform for the Caribbean phase of CP, an equal-partnership mission involving the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, France, Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
