Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Jonathan Massey, Airman 1st Class Harold De La Llave,and Airman 1st Class Bryan Palmer assemble their protective equipment in preparation to assist local authorities with recovery efforts at the recent landslide disaster in Oso, Wash. which so far has claimed the lives of 30 people. These Airmen from the 146th Airlift Wing in Port Hueneme, Calif. will be part of a 16-man Fatality Search and Recovery Team (FSRT), who have received specialized training in supporting local coroner efforts in locating and removing the deceased from an incident scene to a fatality processing station. There are only 27 National Guard FSRTs throughout the entire country.
