Senior Airman Robert Aten, 407th Air Expeditionary Group Public Affairs broadcaster, practices inserting an IV during the combat lifesaver course Oct. 7, 2008. Army and Air Force members attended a five-day combat lifesaver course here Oct. 6-10. The course addresses preventable combat deaths to include blast injury, amputation, severe bleeding, airway management and evacuation techniques. Aten is deployed from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
