Sgt. Justin E. Sherrell, left, and Cpl. Miguel Hernandez clean the shoreline at Araha Beach March 28 to give back to the community and build camaraderie. Following the beach cleanup, the squadron sergeant major held a professional military education session regarding the commandant of the Marine Corps’ “Reawakening” letter, which describes NCOs as the backbone of the Corps. Sherrell is an aviation precision measurement equipment calibration and repair technician with MALS-36, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Hernandez is an aviation meteorological equipment technician with the squadron.
