Staff Sgt. Victor A. Garrett fast-ropes from an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft March 12 during helicopter rope suspension techniques training at Camp Schwab, Okinawa. With these techniques, commonly referred to as fast-roping, Marines can execute tactical insertions and extractions where rotary aircraft landings are impractical, according to Marine Corps Reference Publication 3-11.4A.
