A Republic of Korea Marine programs a ROK Marine Corps radio system to crosslink with a U.S. Marine Corps radio using the secured communications controller at the 1st ROK Marine Corps Division Base in Pohang, Republic of Korea March 14 during Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise 2014. The SCC is the first device of its kind with the ability to crosslink incompatible communications equipment. The ROK and U.S. Marine Corps regularly exercise to ensure interoperability and maintain strong working relationships and MEFEX 14 is a tribute to the maturity of the ROK-U.S. partnership.
