    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. John Wissler disembarks from a U.S. Marine UC-35 airplane at the 1st Republic of Korea Marine Corps Division Base in Pohang, Republic of Korea March 14. Wissler arrived to take part in Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise 2014. According to Wissler, he looks forward to the opportunity for the III MEF to train and come together as a war-fighting staff with ROK Marine Corps counterparts as a Combined Marine Component Command. MEFEX 14 will enhance the interoperability between the U.S. Marine air-ground task force and the ROK Marine forces while honing amphibious capabilities of each nations’ Marine Corps.
