An M113 fires its mine clearing charge MK22 module 4 rocket from 111th Engineer Company, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st ABCT, 1st Infantry Division, during the brigade’s company-level live-fire exercise Feb. 28 on Fort Riley. The exercise was in preparation for the brigade’s upcoming rotation to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif. An M1A2 Abrams tank from 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st ABCT, provided security during the launch while the MICLIC was utilized to breach a triple-strand concertina wire obstacle.
