Spc. Elias Baez-Cintron, a light wheel mechanic with the 333rd Engineer Company, is received by nearly 40 of his family members during a welcome home ceremony where more than 1,000 family and community members gathered to welcome home the troops after an 11-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, in Reading Pa., March 11. Baez-Cintron is part of the maintenance platoon and was assigned to Regional Command South in order to conduct maintenance, which allowed his unit to keep the equipment operable as they conducted horizontal construction contingency operations while training Afghan National Army soldiers as part of the ongoing effort to draw down U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
