Machinery Repairman 2nd Class Rey Taa, left, and Machinist's Mate Fireman Alfred Abate use pick axes to break through tough coral ground while digging a drainage trench at the Guahan Academy Charter School. Both Sailors are from the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) and helped build a playground constructed entirely of donated recycled materials. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
