Marines assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), currently embarked aboard the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), cast off from the ship's stern gate in Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts (CRRC). Bonhomme Richard is the flag ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, and with the embarked 31st MEU, is currently conducting joint force operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility.
