Incoming State Command Sgt. Maj Russell Hamilton holds the ceremonial sword during a change of responsibility ceremony, where he became state command sergeant major of the Colorado Army National Guard at Joint Force Headquarters in Centennial, Colo., March 1, 2014. Outgoing State Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth Berube retired in a separate ceremony after relinquishing the position. Hamilton is coming into the position from the 100th Missile Defense Brigade.
