Lt. Col. David Monk, officer in charge of two teams of soldiers from the 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, holds up a state flag he received from Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch during a formal sendoff ceremony Feb. 22 at Camp Williams, Wis. During their Middle East deployment, some of the Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers will conduct base security operations in Kuwait, while others will conduct military engagement missions with representatives from regional military organizations.
