Sergeant Matthew Gardner, a Motor Transportation Operator, with Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, picks up a fallen branch during the cleanup of The Davis Community, Feb. 14, 2014. Gardner participated in the volunteer event to help clean up the facility after a winter-weather storm struck earlier in the week. Forty Marines and sailors gathered together to devote their time and energy to helping a generation that came before them.
