Thirty-eight dump trucks were mobilized to transport more than 1,400 tons of road salt from the terminal to Columbia, S.C., following the ice storm that impacted the state Feb. 11-12. More than 80 soldiers supported the transport mission on state active duty to respond to the winter storm following the declaration of state of emergency by Gov. Nikki Haley Feb. 11, 2014.
