Flight deck personnel push back an F/A-18C Hornet on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Regan. Push backs are performed when and air craft needs to be moved a short distance on the flight deck. Ronald Reagan and Carrier Air Wing 14 are performing routine carrier operations in the Gulf of Oman in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibility. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
