John Farnam, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, cuts a ribbon to open the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Tax Center alongside Marines who work there during a ribbon cutting ceremony aboard MCAS Miramar, Calif., Jan. 30. The tax center has a team of Marines certified by the Internal Revenue Service to file taxes free of charge for active-duty service members, retirees and military spouses.
