Pfc. Edwin L. Carter, a truck driver with the 222nd Transportation Company, and Spc. Rashaad Gregory, and air conditioner and refrigeration repairer with the 3666th Support Maintenance Company, receive coins from Gen. Frank J. Grass, Chief of National Guard Bureau, in recognition for Carter's heroic efforts with saving Gregory's life when both were involved in a vehicle collision on July 28, during a town hall meeting on Jan. 24. Grass stopped to visit the Arizona Guard members and civilian employees during a brief tour of some of the Western states to discuss future National Guard plans.
