Petty Officer 1st Class Jacob John uses a Department of Defense biological sampler kit to test a solution for simulated biological contaminants, Sept. 11, 2008. John is a part of a sample team which goes into a possible chemical, biological, radiological nuclear and environmental contaminated area to retrieve samples for identification. John, a member of the 332nd Civil Engineer Squadron Emergency Management Flight, and his office conduct simulation exercises to practice their proficiency at responding to CBRNE incidences. He is deployed from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., and his hometown is Baton Rouge, La.
